The William Almas Video (with soundtrack by phog masheeen) "Gone" has been accepted to the “Here and Gone in 60 Seconds” show at LACDA (Los Angeles Center for Digital Art).
The Show runs from July 11-14 2013 at LACDA (Los Angeles Center for Digital Art). 102 West Fifth Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Opening reception Thursday July 11th, 7-9 PM in conjunction with the Down Town Art Walk.
Phog masheeen is a sound art/video collective from Costa Mesa, California that focuses on using aerophones, idiophones and electronics for performance and sound design. Audio portions are accompanied by live mixed video.
William Almas and Mark Soden Jr. constitute the phog masheeen core performers.
Home-brew instruments, common objects and extended techniques involving dry ice are common features of phog masheeen performances.
